Greenhouse Restaurant in Paarl

"Great restaurant under the trees, nestled inside their beautiful vegetable garden. Short and sweet menu with breakfast, salads and surprisingly large sandwiches. I was very impressed with their tasty salad which had a mix of leaves and fruits from the garden. Only downside is that payment is a bit silly as one needs to queue at a central cashieri, instead of the waiters having speedpoints"

"The portions are really big and the fruits and vegetables are fresh. I like the idea of having a seasonal soup, though I imagine it does change every year when the time comes around just to explore more recipes. I really loved the bread that comes with it too. The potato slices are quite big and tasty, though some of them were a little undercooked. The salad bowl is fairly shallow, so it isn't as large a portion as one would expect, although I still recommend sharing it between 2-3 people."

"If you are lucky, one will catch a quite moment to have lunch here. Can be a little crowded, but we where lucky. Nice and quite lunch, bit overpriced but on the other hand, all fresh! Service was good, not excellent. Enjoy the beautiful gardens."

"Had a wonderful lunch at the Greenhouse Restaurant when visiting Babylonstoren. The good was great and the drinks as well. We had scones, focaccia and potato chips as well as some beer and iced tea. The menu is however quite limited and a bit expensive, especially if you are a local looking for food to fill up."

"This is by far one of the absolute best vineyards I have ever experienced. There is a feeling of major nostalgia, excitement, and a "Kid like" feeling of being able to walk through the stunning gardens and pick fruit off the trees. Sitting at the Greenhouse, the air is fresh, clean with a buzz of joy and excitement in the air. The food was incredibly fresh, the foccacia was fluffy and pillowy with a great crust and I enjoyed this. The pot plants of potatoes and salsa.... How fitting The baked buffalo milk yogurt was my absolute favorite dish of the day. The shops were exciting with beautiful produce and what can I say??? I could not help myself. Buying more than you need to is kind of unavoidable when everything is so amazing and sustainability sourced. Looking forward to going here again with my family this time of course."
